"MD Images" Adjustments (5/10/2012) - Four pins have been added/adjusted within this feature as indicated below:
| MD-37 - | 2012 |
| MI - | 1978 (description adjusted, see below) |
| WI - | 1966 (image corrected to silver plating) |
| MD-412 - | 1989 |
Lion Bill Foli (IL) lent the MD-412 pin for 1989. The pin was thought to exist but wasn't known for certain until Lion Bill found it. Lion Dave Armstrong (MT) made certain the website was up to date with the 2012 MD-37 pin. Thanks Lion Bill and Lion Dave for helping.
"New Images" Adjustments (5/10/2012) - The new MD-37 2012 image has been added, thanks to Lion Dave Armstrong (MT) looking me up at the Moline pin swap.
"LCI Images" Adjustments (5/10/2012) - Twelve (12) additions/adjustments have been made within the following sub-features:
| International President's Awards | 1965 (ribbon added), 1981, 1984, 1985 |
| Attendance Awards | 1995-Li, 1996-Li, 1997-Li, 2002-Li, 2004-Li, 2005-Li, 2006-Li |
| LCI Office Holder Emblems | Office Title Term-ZC-95-96 |
The above International President's Awards were lent by Lion Tom Antikainen (MN) and Lion Ken Massengale (NC). Thanks Lion Ken and Lion Tom for sharing these medals with everyone.
Wisconsin Production Data (5/10/2012) - Thanks to Lion Rich Koch (WI) we now have a better idea as to how many regular issue pins were produced for the following years:
| Year | # Produced | Year | # Produced | |
| 1990 - | 20,000 | 1998 - | 12,000 | |
| 1991 - | 20,000 | 1999 - | 12,000 | |
| 1992 - | 16,000 | 2000 - | 10,000 | |
| 1993 - | 16,000 | 2001 - | 9,000 | |
| 1994 - | 12,000 | 2002 - | 8,000 | |
| 1995 - | 12,000 | 2003 - | 8,000 | |
| 1996 - | 12,000 | 2004 - | 8,500 | |
| 1997 - | 12,000 |
Wisconsin Correction (5/10/2012) - During the PTCNC (Asheville, NC) pin swap it was brought to my attention that the WI 1966 (gold plated) pin shown in the Volume I handbook/catalog and website is actually a personal pin. The actual official issue has silver plating.
The website has been adjusted and the next Update to Volume I will included this correction.
Michigan 1978 Band Pins (5/10/2012) - Thanks Lion Jim Walls (MI) the Michigan 1978 with the Tan top car has been identified as a pin issued for Band members attending the International Convention. The Council realized late in the year that a pin for the MI Band hadn't been designed/ordered so they placed a supplemental order of 150 of the regular issue but changed the car top to Tan to make it distinct. Here is what the regular/Band/variations look like:

Past Unknown Pins (5/10/2012) - All five pages of past Unknown pins have been adjusted to include identification of pins that have occurred over the past several months and some recent items that could not be identified. Take a look at these revised pages to learn who issued some of them then try to identify those still unknown as to who issued them.
Website Redesign (5/10/2012) - The past several weeks have been a never ending nightmare regarding this website. Although I can now read/adjust additional types of code it is beyond my ability to generate webpage from scratch. Several open source website editors have been tried but all have some type of limitation that precludes their use.
A second programmer has failed and been taken off the redesign task. A second solicitation has been issued that closes in 2-days. Five proposals have been received to date. Proposals range from $300. to $35,000. Obviously selecting a programmer or company to do the upgrading is complex. Three of the proposals have multiple positive feedback from clients. So its hoped that by this time next week another programmer will have been selected and progress visible to everyone.
Please continue to be patient during this necessary redesign process.
Next Newsletter (5/10/2012) - Issuance of newsletter will continue to be erratic due to attendance at the VA State Convention, yet another surgical procedure, and of course the learning process associated with the website redesign.
Changes will continue to be made to the website throughout the coming weeks. But time constraints will limit announcing updates. Check the "Pin Stories & Videos" periodically to view Moline and Asheville images and a life auction video.

"New Images" and "MD Images" Adjustments (4/8/2012) - Five pins have been added to these features as indicated below:
| DC - | 2012, 2012-mini |
| MD - | 2012, 2012-mini |
| MD-201 - | 2012 |
The DC and MD pins were picked up at the York pin swap. Lion Lucian Goonetileke (AUS) contributed the MD-201 pin. Thanks Lion Lucian for keep everyone current.
"LCI Images" Adjustments (4/8/2012) - Eight additions/adjustments have been made within the following sub-features:
| International Convention Medals | 1990 (Lioness added), 2011 (name tag added) |
| Attendance Awards | Attendance Chevrons-Series III (15-yrs and 29-yrs) |
| LCI Office Holder Emblems | Office Title Term-DDG-76-77, VDG-96-97; |
| Office Title No Term-Lion Tamer Series IIT3c, Past Sec Series IIT2a |
All the above attendance Awards and Emblems were contributed by Lion Harry Fulwiler (VA). Thanks Lion Harry for filling some more holes.
Arizona Variations (4/8/2012) - Last week it was brought to my attention that many AZ variations are not mentioned in the "Variations" area under the MD Images feature. To better cover the variations Lion Harry was contacted, which he graciously consented to lend his collection of AZ variations for scanning/processing. Upon comparing his variations with mine it was observed that almost all were different. It has taken many hours to just review/process the images of a couple years. Based upon this initial experience, it's going to take considerable effort to compare/process the entire MD. Complicating this process is my recent/on-going bout with asthma, and upcoming pin swap attendance. Please be patience until the next release of observations.
Next Newsletter (4/8/2012) - Most of the coming week will be spent going to, attending, and returning from the Mid-West (Moline) Pin Swap. Then it's just a few days home before heading out to attend the North Carolina (Asheville) Pin Swap. Although some updating will be attempted it may be several weeks before the next newsletter. Newly issued MD/State issues will be given priority, so continue to visit in my absence.
Additionally, during my absences the website will be undergoing a major upgrade by a website design programmer. My website ISP has stopped supporting my web editor which has caused the subscription links to be broken triggering the decision to upgrade immediately. The net result is that all platforms will soon be able to enjoy the website. You will be able to visit the website via PC, MAC, IPad, IPhone, etc. and with better clarity PLUS new platform users will be able to see full pages. The home page will look a little different but have all the familiar features and sub-features. There shouldn't be any interruptions in services but if you have any problems at Log-On please simply try again in a few minutes. Brief periods may be needed to test developing files prior to release/implementation. Hope to see you in Moline and/or Asheville.
